Resort Data Processing Data Breach

DENVER, November 1, 2023 — Colorado-based, consumer-rights law firm Berens Law LLC is investigating Resort Data Processing, Inc. regarding its recent data breach. Resort Data Processing, Inc., a property management software provider, is headquartered in Avon, Colorado.

What Happened?:

According to Resort Data Processing, between August 2022 and August 2023, an unauthorized actor used a vulnerability in the company’s reservation booking application to access consumers’ names, mailing addresses, email addresses, and/or credit card information. In response, Resort Data Processing sent out data breach letters to affected parties, informing them of the breach. A copy of the letter may be accessed at https://oag.ca.gov/ecrime/databreach/reports/sb24-575755on the California Attorney General’s Data Breach website.

About a year earlier, in July 2021, Resort Data Processing had sent out another data breach letter regarding a prior cybersecurity attack between February and June 2021 whereby individuals’ names, addresses, credit/debit card numbers, expiration dates, and security codes had also been accessed.
