AudienceView Data Breach

Berens Law LLC Investigates AudienceView Data Breach

 

DENVER, March 6, 2023 —Consumer-rights law firm, Berens Law LLC, is investigating AudienceView regarding its recent nationwide data breach. AudienceView is a third-party vendor utilized by many colleges for campus event ticketing.


What Happened?:


According to reports from various colleges and universities, they were notified that AudienceView experienced a data breach involving credit card information affecting customers who purchased tickets between February 17 and February 21, 2023. Some customers reportedly experienced fraudulent credit card charges, while others were defrauded by individuals posing as representatives from their banking institutions who tricked victims into providing confidential information such as PIN and Social Security numbers.


Institutions reporting being affected by the breach include, among others: Colorado State University, Colorado Mesa University, Community College of Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver, University of Colorado Denver, Virginia Tech, University of Maryland Baltimore County, SUNY Oswego, SUNY Brockport, Dominican University, Pomona College, Cornell University, Kent State University, Middlebury College, UC Santa Cruz, McMaster University, Loyola University Chicago, York University, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, University at Buffalo, Merrimack College, Central Washington University, MIT, Brock University, and UW Milwaukee.
